Recently we have seen the whole supply chain come under extreme pressure from a number of global and local factors. Demand continues to be strong pushing capacity to its limits, while vessel scheduling issues and port constraints throughout NZ continue to adversely impact our operations.
We understand that as customers you are also dealing with the challenges of a supply chain environment under strain. As a service provider we are seeing a trend towards reactive planning and delivery requests that are outside our established booking, order cut off and lead times. This is putting further strain on our ability to plan and deliver effectively.
Planning is now more critical than ever and we wish to advise all our customers that adherence to our cut offs is needed. These will be strictly enforced to ensure planning and delivery are as effective as possible.
Please refer to the following documents for our booking, order cut off and lead times:
- Standard operating procedure: export round trip
- Standard operating procedure: export shuttle only
- Standard operating procedure: import round trip
- Standard operating procedure: import shuttle only
These are our minimum requirements and we encourage all our customers to provide as much notice as possible above these minimum requirements. We also remind customers that we are unable to accept any demurrage or detention liability where booking and cut off times are not met, or due to any other factors outside of our control.
Please note – where bookings are received with no delivery instructions we are unable to plan your delivery until delivery instructions are received and/or agreed – our delivery window will not commence until the delivery instructions are confirmed.
Delivery lead times are longer than usual at present due to the high demand and operational constraints affecting our productivity. As a result our usual 48 working hour delivery window is being pushed out a further 24-48 hours and we see this continuing for the foreseeable future.
