As reported, there is a severe storm watch for Auckland and the North Island tonight. High winds and heavy rain are expected. Reports also suggest wind gusts more than 47 km/h which would trigger a temporary shutdown of the South Auckland Freight Hub (SAFH).
We have reconfigured the SAFH to best cope with any high winds above the tolerance levels set and will continue to monitor the situation closely. If at any point throughout the night, we are forced to suspend operations our planned deliveries and collections may be impacted. If this does happen, a Customer Services Representative will be reaching out tomorrow to discuss options to recover any impact or lost time where possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please stay safe.
