Since late yesterday evening Auckland has been impacted by heavy fog, which has continued into the morning and is still impacting operations at most de-hire depots and yards.
Most depots and yards closed around midnight last night and a number of deliveries and de-hires were unable to be completed. We are working on a plan to recover once the fog has uplifted.
Please note, South Auckland Freight Hub is following safety guidelines and procedures and is currently closed, as reach stacker drivers have very limited visibility when working on containers that are stacked high.
We strongly recommend you ensure you have discussed this with your shipping lines and have the appropriate detention terms for your containers. Weather is outside of our control and Nexus Logistics will be unable to accept any demurrage or detention that results from potential delays.
