A high wind warning and heavy rain watch has been issued for SAFH, Thursday 18 August through to tomorrow morning.
Winds are forecast to rise to gale, gusting up to 110km/h (60 knots).
High wind procedure has not yet taken affect and weather is currently being monitored closely until the alert is lifted. Our site TMP must be followed with the direction of our staff on-site.
We have noted from our industry partners that some Empty Dehire facilities are impacted, and restricted access is in place at these yards.
When wind speeds reach an unsafe level of 25 knots, as a precautionary measure, we will close our yard without notice and re-open for operation once safe to commence.
The safety and wellbeing of staff, visitors and contractors on-site is our priority. During the site closure, all trucks will be asked to leave our operation area and visitors/contractors to report to the gatehouse. All incoming trucks will not be processed until clearance has been authorised.
The period of uncertain weather is expected to last until 9am tomorrow morning.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your co-operation.
