The current weather event has created a number of disruptions to the Nexus network. As such, all our staff are working to the conditions and carrying out their duties as safely as possible.
Rail for Auckland metro was cancelled from Friday night shift through to Monday, however we are please to advise that usual services have resumed with this morning’s shunt arriving at 9am as planned.
We are closely monitoring the situation given the impending forecast with Orewa North facing a red heavy rain warning and Auckland an orange warning from 6pm tonight (31/01). Strong winds are also forecast over the following 24 hours, and our South Auckland Freight Hub will be taking similar precautions to the recent Cyclone Hale event.
We ask that you bear with us during this weather event and we will return to normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.
Please stay safe out there.
