Cyclone Hale is approaching New Zealand and expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds tonight.
There is a high likelihood that the South Auckland Freight Hub (SAFH) may be closed for a time due to the severe weather conditions, and operations there will be impacted.
The SAFH is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of all personnel on site.
These precautions and procedures include:
- Monitoring weather systems
- Reducing stack heights
- Working closely with MCP
- Staff awareness
- Restrictions on where trucks can be loaded/unloaded, with areas near the block stacks being blocked off
- No visitors or contractors allowed on site
We ask that you bear with us during this weather event and we will return to normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.
