The Ports of Auckland (POAL) is currently receiving Export containers for the following vessels:
- Gottfried Schulte KE847e
- Maersk Izmir 841N
- OOCL Kuala Lumpur 104
Receival for the following vessels will commence from Saturday 24 November:
- Bowmar Rossi KE845R
Receival for the following vessels will commence from Sunday 25 November:
- Spirit of Canterbury 4048
- ANL Elaroo 1832
- Maersk Garonne 443N
We request rail users refrain from sending Export Containers that are not for the above-mentioned vessels. Containers that are booked to load later vessels will not be unloaded from the train and will be returned.
Due to the space restrictions in the yard we will manage receival of empty export containers directly with the shipping lines.
This week, we have a number of vessels which have been delayed on their scheduled times and the effect of this will impact our road exchange early next week. Currently a number of vessels are late on their normal proforma windows.
When POAL has a very full yard on Monday due to high volumes being discharged over the weekend and with limited pick-ups over the weekend, it takes longer to service both trucks and vessels
On Monday and Tuesday POAL will be operating at maximum yard capacity and to assist in reducing this pressure we encourage carriers to utilise the 24 hour access on Saturday and Sunday and to discuss with importers timely pre-clearances and options for deliveries outside normal business hours.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
